A New Beginning
New Jersey Association of Verismo Opera is now under new management with a new Artistic Director/Stage Director Giorgio Lalov,
and a new choral director, Rider Foster. VERISMO Opera plans to engage different guest conductors for all performances.
We are projecting our first full-scale opera performance for autumn 2020 - Verdi's LA TRAVIATA - to be presented at Bergen Performing Arts Center, Englewood, NJ. The production will feature critically acclaimed, traditional sets and costumes designed by Artistic Director, Giorgio Lalov and a new chorus and orchestra of NJAVO comprised of operatic soloists from the New Jersey, New York City area where there is an abundance of superb operatic talent!
Looking ahead to winter 2021, NJAVO would like to present a full-scale, traditional production of Puccini’s LA BOHEME at Bergen PAC featuring traditional sets and costumes designed by Giorgio Lalov that have been presented in major USA theaters to high critical acclaim…
